Choosing the Right Vendors for Your Event
Planning a wedding is a huge job! This one day is going to be a celebration of your and your partner’s love and unity. It’s important to us as your event planners and coordinators that every detail of your day gives you and your guests the best experience.
Today’s post is all about picking the right vendors and understanding the impact vendors have on your wedding day. Let’s get started!
When it comes time to hire vendors for your wedding, there is so much more to consider than just skill and availability. It’s important to find a team that understands your wedding dreams and will work to bring those dreams to life.
Your wedding should reflect your unique love and style. Good vendors will get to know your vision and be considerate of your style choices.
Another way to know if a vendor is the right fit for your wedding is through their communication. If they are interested in hearing your ideas, they will likely be a good collaborator. If they’re more interested in telling you about how they do things, your ideas, unfortunately, probably won’t matter to them much.
Finding vendors who enthusiastically support your ideas will work hard to make your wedding day perfect. If your vendor is invested in you and your ideas, every detail, from the quality of flowers to the lighting of your photos, will be well planned.

Understanding the Vendor Impact
We have worked with many vendors across the country, and we know the best ones will cater their recommendations to the client. It speaks volumes about the character of a vendor who makes suggestions based on the needs of each client.
Imagine for a minute these two scenarios:
- You select a florist for your wedding and share your favorite flowers with them. They don’t take notes during your meeting and are vague when you follow up with them. On the day of your wedding, the vendor arrives with a truck full of flowers they like and tells you they think your vision will be better if you just trust them.
- You hire a florist for your wedding and share that you want a garden-inspired bouquet. They ask for your favorite flowers and wedding color palette and show you pictures of their past work. They pull up an image of a bouquet they made in the past that features your favorite bloom and ask if you’d like a similarly arranged bouquet. They also suggest how to incorporate similarly styled flowers into your wedding.
Now I don’t know about you, but I think scenario B sounds like an absolute dream collaboration. In this scenario, the vendor took your interest, shared their expertise, and worked with you to create something you’ll be excited to look back on in 20 years. In scenario A, you’re more likely to have a wedding day disaster to look back on. We will work hard to make sure you always get vendor B instead of vendor A!
Vendors are a crucial part of your wedding team, and we truly believe it’s important to pick vendors who will bring your vision to life. The peace of mind that hiring a good vendor will bring is an invaluable part of your wedding planning experience. You will arrive at your wedding knowing everyone is using their expertise to bring your vision to life. And you will be able to relax and fully immerse yourself in the love and joy of your wedding day.
