Lemons & Love: A Stunning Yellow, Citrus Inspired Wedding

The Vision – Warm Citrus Vibes

Our couple, Whitney & Connor, knew from the very beginning that they wanted to incorporate fresh lemons in the decor for their wedding at Twenty & Creek! Aside from lemons, she wanted a wedding day that felt elevated, refined, and honored the stunning gardens surrounding the venue. To capitalize on the natural beauty around them, they opted for a neutral palette of whites and ivories accented with golds and greens to allow the fresh lemons to truly stand out throughout the wedding design.

Whitney, as the bride, created the foundation for the design, while our team at Kaushay & Co. events assisted in exact design selections and creating the layout of the day to support her vision.

The Day – A Perfect Summer Wedding

It was the perfect summer day at Utah’s Twenty & Creek! With clear skies, and no rain in sight,the afternoon began with private moments for Whitney & Connor as they got ready with their wedding party. Then they exchanged private vows, had a first look in the garden, and snapped some photos with their wedding party before beginning their ceremony.

They were married in Twenty & Creek’s Ceremony Hall. The focal point? A lush floral arch with white hydrangeas, lush greenery, and those signature lemons. After the ceremony, guests headed into the main space for an intimate dinner before the other invited guests joined later that evening. The arch? Following the ceremony, our team repurposed it as the backdrop to the receiving line after dinner.

A Labor of Love – The Cake of Her Dreams

As a baker herself, Whitney designed and baked her own wedding cake, a 7-tier stunner that was an early example of the Lambeth style cakes that have since become a top wedding trend! She spent weeks preparing the small details that would adorn the cake and personally placed every flower on the wedding day. It was the standout moment of the evening. Ever seen a bride climb a ladder to cut her wedding cake? These guests have! Then, with lights in the courtyard for after dark, Whitney, Connor, and their guests danced the evening away before a send-off to end the perfect night.

Between their refined color palette, the vintage cake, and the couple’s effortless personal styling, this wedding was years ahead of 2026’s biggest trends and is one of our favorites to look back on! It was simple, yet stunning, and you can see all of the perfect details below!
